Catten College is a private training company, based at the Arena Leisure Centre in Colchester. Established in 1983, we are a family-run business providing both private and funded NVQs in Business & Administration, Childcare, Care, Care Management, Customer Service, Hairdressing, Advice & Guidance, Health & Safety and Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools.

As part of the Hairdressing learning programme, we have a training salon in Colchester open to the public. Our students carry out all services under the guidance and supervision of our experienced hairdressing assessors.

The College delivers apprenticeships to many businesses throughout Essex and Suffolk, including care homes, hair salons, nurseries, schools and others. The College also has private contracts to deliver hairdressing and childcare qualifications to years 10, 11 & 12 to 11 schools in Clacton, Colchester, Frinton and Maldon.
