Congratulations to Zoë Gant! Essex Countywide Business Awards 2010 Apprentice of the Year. Congratulations also have to go to everyone at the college who became Essex Countywide Business 2 Business Award winners 2010 and last but of course not least congratulations to Anne Catten, Managing Director of Catten College. Essex Business Woman of the Year finalist 2010.

Colchester and District Businesswoman of the Year 2009.
Everyone at Catten College is pleased to announce that our Managing Director Anne Catten has been voted the Colchester and District Businesswoman of the Year 2009. Well Done Anne!
Extract from the Colchester Gazette: "The judges decision was unanimous when they picked Anne Catten as this year's winner of Colchester Business Woman of the Year. Anne is the owner and managing director of Catten College, Snip 'n' Shape, Hair 'n' Health and Heads 'n' Extras all based in the Colchester district. The judges are confident Anne will be a good ambassador for this prestigious award.
She has made an outstanding contribution, providing training to the North Essex business community and has demonstrated in-depth knowledge on all aspects of her businesses. There was clear evidence of her passion, dedication and motivation to enhance the lives of others through self-development, both inside and outside of her various businesses. The vision for the future is well planned with Anne's natural instinct and ability to adapt to change, inspire others and explore new possibilities, it is a certainty she will continue to lead her businesses to new heights."

Colchester and District Business Innovation of the Year Winners 2008
Extract from the Colchester Gazette "The winner of the award for business innovation of the year in the medium-sized firm category stood out from the rest because innovation not only helped success of the firm but helped the community. The winners realised that while they had a successful working model in Colchester, they were struggling to reach out to more remote regions of the district.
They decided if the target group could not get to them, they would move to the target group. The firm had been about for some 25 years and we believe they will be around for years to come because the management and staff understand the need for innovation and change.
The firm has well-established foundations based upon well-tried and well-tested methods. The innovation was to introduce a hair and beauty salon into a school.
The haircuts are free to the public and the children learn about real life business while being taught essential skills. The venture has been so successful, two new schools are going to sign up the innovation."
