Level: Two (2), Three (3), Four (4) & Leadership and Management for Care Services (LMCS 4) Example of Units:
- Communicate with, and complete records for individuals
- Support the health and safety of yourself and individuals
- Help individuals to eat and drink
- Receive and store medication and products
- Ensure your own actions support the care, protection and wellbeing of individuals
- Take responsibility for the continuing professional development of self and others

Accredited by: City & Guilds Course Information: This course trains people to work in the care industry, within residential homes, nursing homes and with people with learning disabilities. Programmes Available: Privately funded (Levels Two, Three, Four & LMCS 4), Apprenticeship (Level Two), Train to Gain (Levels Two & Three).

Level: One (1) Introductory Certificate in Health & Social Care, Introductory Diploma in Health & Social Care
Example of Units:

- Personal effectiveness or social responsibility at work
- Looking after children
- Images of people or health and the environment
Accredited by: OCR
Course Information: Offered as part of the Aternative Curriculum Programme to school years 10 & 11. If starting in Year 11 only the Introductory Certificate is taken. The knowledge gained through this award leads on (post-school) to the Apprenticeship (Level 2) in Health and Social Care or the Apprenticeship (Level 2) in Children's Care, Learning and Development and can, over the years, lead on to the Leadership and Management Award.
The course is privately funded via schools and local authorities.
