Funding Overview

• Catten College delivers learning programmes which are funded in a variety of ways.  The funding comes from Learning and Skills Council Essex and The European Social Fund.
  
• Schools fund their own pupils to attend courses at the College.
  
• All Courses are also available to individuals or companies paying privately.
  
• The following pages show the qualifications on offer and the funding available is signposted by qualification.

Funding Methods

• Apprenticeships
  For young people commencing between the ages of 16 and 24.   Learners must be employed (the College will assist the young person in securing employment).
  
• Advanced Apprenticeships
  For young people commencing between the ages of 16 and 24.

Important - For Apprentices or Advanced Apprentices who commence from the age of 19 upwards, a payment of £300 toward course costs is required.  This can be paid in instalments.  If Employers wish to they can pay on the young person's behalf.

Schools
BTEC, NVQ and Diploma courses for 14 to 16 year olds are generally paid for by schools.  If you are a school and are interested in working with us, please contact Bianca Catten.
