Stand-alone unit 8:
Currently, the BCT Code Of Practice requires all providers to have workplace health and safety checked by someone
qualified to L3 unit 8 level before funded learning takes place.
Candidates will be required to demonstrate research skills, academic aptitude, decision making (both ability and authority) and confidence.
Candidates must have some responsibility for health and safety within their job roles.
Stand-alone unit 9: This is a new addition to the NVQ.
The law requires that you "provide whatever information, instruction and training is needed to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety of your employees."
Unit 9 is for anyone who has responsibility for direct supervision of the health, safety and welfare of a learner in a work environment.
This will be ideal for supervisors in larger workplaces.
Each unit costs £495.00 per candidate.
BCT members get a special discounted rate of £395.00.
The full NVQ (7 units) is available for £1500.00
